310S is an austenitic stainless steel that combines excellent high temperature performance with good ductility and weldability. It is usually used for high temperature applications because its high chromium and nickel content provides solid corrosion resistance, excellent oxidation resistance and excellent strength at temperatures up to 2100 °F. Due to its high chromium and nickel content, it is superior to 304 or 309 stainless steel in most environments.
ASTM A106 is suitable for seamless carbon steel pipe for high temperature environment. ASTM A106 pipe is manufactured according to grade A, B and C. API 5B and API 5CT are mainly used for oil casing. API 5CT oil casing can be divided into seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipe, welded steel pipe mainly refers to the straight seam steel pipe, large diameter oil casing is generally submerged arc welding straight seam steel pipe.
A213 Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe
ASTM A213 designates grades T5, TP304, etc. Grades with the letter H have a higher creep rupture strength than grades without H. ASME SA213 seamless pipe is chrome molybdenum alloy pipe. ASTM A192 is the same as ASME SA-192 and is the standard specification covering seamless carbon steel boiler and superheater tubes of minimum wall thickness for high pressure service.
